Total 3D Home Deluxe

Total 3D Home Deluxe is less expensive than most titles, but it gets mixed reviews. In PC Magazine's review of Total 3D Home Deluxe, Tony Dreier writes that the software's "limitations will quickly become apparent to anyone trying to create something that looks like a finished home." We found some miserable reviews for this home-design software on Amazon.com. Many users report system crashes in Windows XP.

Some owner-reviews for Total 3D Home Deluxe at Amazon.com and Epinions also complain about a counter-intuitive user interface. The program works well for the simplest of tasks, say reviews, such as moving furniture around. Therefore, though they are more expensive, the other titles in Fast Answers are better choices. "Total 3D Home can be fun if you're just playing around," according to PC Magazine's Dreier. However, if you want something fun and easy to use, and you don't care too much about precision or extra features, one of the less expensive, scaled-down versions of Better Homes and Gardens Home Designer (discussed below) is probably a better choice.
